In your opinion, what is the key to a successful outfit?
Being proud of what you wear, loving your clothes and just owning your style.
Confidence is key.
What are your top styling suggestions when it comes to dressing for work?
I have found it is so important to have matching sets as well as separates, that way you have an endless wardrobe of different outfits and combos.
What advice would you give for balancing timeless fashion and keeping up with trends?
You can never go wrong with a Pinterest mood board. Not only does that keep you up with latest trends but filters in things that you've already shown an interest in. Mood boards are also a great way to style clothing and match colours, as well as help you to identify more staple pieces needed in your wardrobe.
W by Working Style has built constant interest over the past year, what is your vision for W in Wellington?
Wellington is home to some of the most fierce and daring women who, I believe, are waiting to embrace the sophistication and elegance which 'W' by Working style can provide . I envision incredible growth for 'W' in Wellington as our options for woman's wear are endless! Buying off the peg doesn't always have positive results, especially with tailored garments, which is why it's such a massive step in Women's Fashion that we have our Made to Measure service on offer. Once the word gets out that our customers can create their own jackets, suits, pants etc, 'W' will take off in Wellington!
What sparked your interests in fashion?
I received my Diploma in Fashion Technology in 2021. I owe my gratitude to my Grandmother for sparking my interest. She was a self-taught seamstress and would make most of mine and my sister's clothing.
I've had a love and appreciation for not only creating clothing, but making it known that your clothing is a reflection of who you are as a person.
How would you describe your aesthetic?
I have a newly found appreciation for elegant, chic clothing that has either a soft or structured feel to it. I love pairing my formal/ classy wear with my casual clothes, for example a warm blazer paired with comfortable pants and kicks.
What can’t you leave the house without?
Wallet, Phone, Keys. Although, I wish I could leave the house without my wallet, that way I could spend my money on overseas trips rather than sushi.

Sarah Bernhardt - The first woman to wear a custom-made pants suit in 1870.
